So Many Daylilies

Can one have too many daylilies? I think I began with the typical roadside orange ones and then I fell in love with a two-toned and then a yellow and oh so many pretty red ones too. I even have soft peach colored one yes they are all welcome here.

Well you get the idea I went a little crazy and these are not all I have in bloom right now.

One mistake I made was to grow they all along the drive both sides actually but maybe as I divide them I should add groupings for more of a display of color. Right now I have other flowers in between them and grasses soo but I am looking for more of a punch of color. How do you use Daylilies in your spaces?

  1. The first answer is ‘no,’ one can never have too may daylilies. :-) I have mine spread around but when they bloom I realize I have some mixed up because let’s face it they all look alike once they’re done blooming unless you mark them. One of my chores this morning is to move a few to get more punch. I’ll lose some blooms but…

  2. They are all gorgeous Eunice! You have reminded there are so many colours, not just orange and yellow. Maybe I need a few too! 😉

      1. I doubt it, wonderful as that would be! I tried sending seeds to my Mum in the UK once and they never arrived… So sweet of you to offer though Eunice. You have a heart of gold! 🤗

        1. There are probably rules :( for the best of our countries hell China sent so many in USA seeds and the packages said BEADS lol just can’t be safe enough these days
