Reflections on Nature: My Journey Through Winter

Brady will miss this weather.

What?

Waiting for his mate to eat.

My lower yard along the frozen river.

Gardens I never had time to trim.

I think the garlic is safely tucked in.

I was hoping to add plastic and grow something by March.

The sun was to have a ring of fire yesterday. Unfortunately, the weather hampered its view from my place.

It is expensive but I always toss a few worms to the ground and they know it.

A bully bird in these parts.

Finch getting their spring colors gives me hope.

Everyone is looking much better than drab.

Wonder what it is they are thinking. I get so many different expressions.

Love my flock of Eastern Blue Birds.

A little better focus on our boy with a grass I never cut back.

My life this year.

Have a great day!
Eunice

  1. Nice wintery post, Eunice. Good to see the brightening of feathers. Have you noticed the change in the bird’s behavior? Spring songs, yes! The past few days the blues here have been calling, getting territorial and checking out the nest boxes. They are thinking ‘spring!’
