I try to be so neat and clean when I paint. Boy was this one a challenge :).
So cold here, it teeters between just below and just above 0, without any windchill.
Noon is my pet scan. Actually a full body scan and I am worried about the cost after Medicare pays their share. I am set up to see lung experts on the 4th in Lebanon NH.
I know I am in good hands. No matter what is found out about this spiculated nodule, I feel reassured. It is 21 mm (I know what a socket that size looks like).
I will come home and eat something. I will then try a woods scene again. Maybe a home or barn with people or animals. I never know what direction a piece will go in.
Enjoy your day and thanks for the well wishes and for checking out my watercolors.
Eunice

I’m very glad you’re in good medical hands! I really like your “messy” watercolor. It strikes me as realistic in an Impressionistic kind of way.
Thank you. I took your book to the hospital to continue your story tomorrow I read and paint some more.
You’re welcome, Eunice. I hope you’re enjoying the book! 😊
I am when I can sit and relax.
😊
xo
Hope all went smoothly today, Eunice. Keep creating! 👏🏼
Yes poison injected photos taken I can home for a snack and some water then used the roof rake just a little I am tired. :)
Thanks for asking and thinking about me. xo
Worrying times for you, both on health and financial grounds. I had a CT scan today for a routine check and the one thing that I didn’t have to worry about was the cost. We are lucky.
It must be good to be able to concentrate on painting for a while. I like your trees today.
Thanks so much. I am happy yours is over with did you get the contrast dye? I got nuclear waste :) they said if I drank a lot of water it would leave my body in 48 hours.
Snow removal and painting until tomorrow and on Feb 4th when I should have all my results and their thoughts on a plan. Did you get yours right back or do you have to wait? I have medica which pays 80% and if I am poor enough I maybe given extra help or sell a bunch of paintings lol
I did get the dye. You are making me nervous now. :)
I am sure yours was contrast dye this time for me it was Isotopes.
I am all about knowing what and why on injections and what possible side effects are. What do they say Forewarned is Forearmed :)
Gamma Rays disturb me lol
Radioactive Tracers and Positron Emission
Radioactive tracers used in PET scans are molecules labeled with positron-emitting isotopes. In FDG-PET, the tracer is fluorodeoxyglucose labeled with fluorine-18, a radioactive isotope with a half-life of approximately 110 minutes. After injection, the tracer distributes throughout the body, concentrating in tissues with high glucose metabolism.
When fluorine-18 decays, it emits a positron, the antimatter counterpart of an electron. This positron travels a short distance before colliding with an electron, resulting in annihilation and the production of two gamma photons, which are emitted in opposite directions. The PET scanner detects these photons simultaneously, allowing it to pinpoint the location of the annihilation event.
PET Scan: What It Is, Types, Purpose, Procedure & Results
Take care and I pray your results are good.
I just opened my reports (before the doctor even saw them) and I am more hopeful as the radiologists says hardly any scary growth in 4 in a half almost 5 years so if it is slow growing I might make it to 80 :)
Thank you for this. My contrast dye was an iodine based solution, I think.
80 is a good target.
Wonderful :) My primary care doctor and I went over results late this afternoon we see no signs of cancer that pet scans are supposed to show so now onto the special lung doctor on the 4th to see their thoughts on what this mass is and why is it growing. Slow but still getting bigger in my lower left lobe.
A good first result. I hope that the next one is reassuring too.
Me too. Hope your foot felt better after your treatment.
Of course, keep trying as and when they come, and you will be upped.
From someone that doesn’t have a lick of painting talent, I think you did a great job! I had to laugh when you compared the size of the nodule to a socket. 🤣 But seriously, sending prayers and stay postive.
lol seriously I do not clearly know cm but I do know my mm at least when it comes to wrenches and sockets :)
So oddly I had my pet scan where if there is any cancer it “lights up” well I did not light up but the mass grew even if every so slightly over 4 1/2 years. Within 2 hours of me returning home I had the report. I never thought to look at the images if they were even there, but from what I read I am good with no further testing :) Then yesterday I saw my primary when she was done with sick patients and as we went over the written report she said she thought it was promising as well and that she had been so worried about me and had also prayed. You don’t find doctors like that these days <3
So now the interesting part. On the 4th just days away now I travel 100 miles to see experts in lungs up at Dartmouth Hitchcock on the VT border. When their office called to give me the particulars they said they did not need to see my pet scan results lol then I said to myself "then why bother going" I will just to not be railroaded if this thing is growing slowly I will have it removed when it reaches the size that they determine it needs to be removed. :)
Oh Eunice, I missed this post, but see from the comment above that it looks promising that it is only growing very slowly. Who knows, it may stop growing altogether and will not trouble you . All the best! 🩷
Thank you Cathy. It never lit up or any other spot within me so hoping it is not all doom and gloom when I see the big shots on the 4th.
Fingers crossed and good luck on the 4th. 🤗
Love all those lovely colours Eunice. Spectacular post.
xo take care I get answers tomorrow hopefully :)
