The tiny brown bird is a Carolina Wren.
The 3 in the next shot are Eastern Bluebirds. They are all fluffed up, due to the 10 degree day and constant snow.

Male Bluebird as he sits quietly as the snow continues to fall.

Dark Eyed Junco a regular winter visitor. I would almost guess female from the patch on her belly. Our regular birds who stay in the summers here and raise young have the same spot from sitting on eggs. I think it is called a brood patch.

I was so busy pushing snow around I forgot about the water dish. Had I plugged it in they would have been bathing in it. I eventually did plug it back in after plowing. The water had already had a bit of slush in it, as it was now just 10 degrees f.

This is a Morning Dove who also loves my fresh well water.

Now we will have to worry about not only the driveway but the roof.

That’s it for tonight. I am so tired but I wanted to share the beauty they call winter, in New England. From my back door.
Have a great night
Eunice

Your birds get the Royal Treatment! Living the good life. :) Love your bluebirds, they are such sweet things.
Have a good rest, Eunice, you deserve it!
Thanks I did 4 more hours today and have you heard maybe another one for this weekend BOO lol
Definitely a REAL winter this year! Stay warm!
You too! Pipes froze this morning :( all good now though.
My guy checks on ours constantly. Once it happens to you, you are never lax again! I imagine plumbers are super busy this week. 🏃🏽🏃🏽♂️
I can’t imagine. The poor folks in the south with only AC’s.
Poor little scraps- they look so cold! xx
Fluffed and some tucking one foot at a time under them to warm up. <3
Beautiful. And they get a heated water dish too. Great! Hope you are not considering getting up on the roof Eunice. Do take care!
Remember those days lol I will use a roof rake and take a foot off from each are I can reach but that will be maybe Friday or Sat. They are calling for another storm on Sat. night unless it misses us :)
Thank you for the bird photos. They’re wonderful!! I’m watching the plumes of snow from my husband’s snowblower as we speak.
I was 3 days doing this place it was NUTS then the mailbox up on the main road another hour.
That is brutal!
More gardens or less storage needed in this yard. I wanted a smaller machine but it would have to be shorter with a bigger bucket :)
I don’t envy you!
:) I pray I will be healthy enough to tackle it all.
🙏🏻
Well done for looking after your birds so well. Sleep well.
Thanks :) today I spent 4 hours doing the back yard on a tractor. I need more gardens :)
Wonderful post with beautiful and sweet photos. Thank you so much.
Thanks for checking them out they were shot through a dirty window.
Thank you for caring for the birds in such cold weather!
They may not need me as much as I need them <3
I had no idea blue birds could stand the cold. Your pictures are so good!
These are lousy shots through a dog nose printed window but yes I am going to start claiming them as dependents :)
I buy 11 lbs of meal worms, a heated spa and they bring me tons of babies several times a year :) I guess they know I love them. Now to keep the invasive blue bird killers away The European Starlings. All of them are bug and berry eaters so they fly together but starlings are brutal to them.
Great Pictures!
Thanks
A lot of work, and a lot of beauty.
Thank you, Eunice!
Thanks for the visit. Stay warm.
You stay warm, too, Eunice!
