Christmas Eve Gift for Brady

SNOW!!!!!

His favorite time of the year. I do not think my beach bum saw much snowfall, he has hit the jackpot I think for this year. Boo for me, but I do have a large tractor. Still, riding out in the cold and wind with these old beat-up bones gives me no enjoyment. I find joy when I can climb off and try to grab a few photos. Snow is pretty for sure, just dangerous for slip and falls.

Speaking of falls, my hands have hurt since I fell in May. Yesterday images were finally taken and the left thumb joint is trashed. My right wrist has a Ulnar, never knew that until the pain never went away.

I hate going to doctors or using machines with radiation, so I just suffered for months with this injury. Now they say OT visits are needed to see if they can lessen the pain. OH Joy. :)

Pretty when it falls gently on the boughs last nights snow had some sleet mix to it.

I would spend all day tomorrow painting these snow-covered trees. Yet, it is Christmas and my brother is back in my life. Ron and I will go spend time at their place. They are making lasagna and we are bringing the desert.

The dogs will see each other but cling to their owners when inside :)

My birds will be hungry by the time we arrive back home. I only put a little seed out throughout the day, due to our local black bears.

Put there are plenty of berries and seed heads just on my land alone.

To those who celebrate, have a wonderful Christmas which I hope is not spent celebrating alone.

Love
Eunice

My day started with plowing then joining my friends family for a little watercolor lesson. She is awfully good to me a cute Owl wind chime and paying me for their lessons. They did great!

They had fun. Now let’s see if they go nuts like I have lol

  1. A little snow at Christmas is lovely. Hope you don’t get too much though as clearing it is a pain. Take care of your joints Eunice. And have a great day with your brother!

    1. Thanks just walked in :) I am so tired and so happy the the commercial end of the year is over now to enjoy the true holiday <3 Had a wonderful dinner and conversation with my brother and his wife and a retired professor/neighbor. We came home to wicked winds and blowing snow. I am glad we came home in daylight as the roads will glaze over and more wrecks will fill the area roads.

I hope you had a wonderful visit and a safe return to your man xo

      1. Thanks Eunice. It was good to get home safely and in time for Christmas at home. We have had a wicked wind here too, and it was below freezing all day, but still no snow to speak of.

        1. Right now we have 7-10 inches which will nail NYC, NY but if they are correct we will get no more than 2″ at my place but I clear over and acre so I still have to use the tractor :( It was so cold Christmas night and then again today now they say snow at midnight then Sunday into Monday an ice storm then rain not sure what to do with snow that falls leave it to absorb the ice or remove it and have all ice. Just snow or rain I say :)

            1. lol Ice Baby Ice they are saying. I will stay in except to fill the feeders and watch Brady when he goes out. I have 2 doctor appointments this week and I have to bring my watercolors home from the cafe.

    1. Thank you it is the hand I climb up onto the John Deere with so maybe I will step up onto a milk crate then onto the tractor. OT starts on Tuesday bright and early we will see their thoughts on what is going on :)
