I haven’t attempted to make sour dough bread, but I sure do love eating it.
I am trying to stay away from unhealthy bread so I have to keep playing with different things to use the starter up on like a loaf pan loaf, pancakes, English muffins even pita pockets.
Crumpets, perhaps?
I will have to check it out.
Exciting. I made sour dough at one time, but we didn’t eat enough bread to making feeding the yeast worthwhile.
I use the stuff for English muffins, pancakes, cookies rolls and loaves of bread. But I keep it in the refrigerator for long periods of time and stir it up then dump some out add more flour than water and she triples in size.
Yum!
