I have to share a quick story with you.
Less than 3 miles from our place, my other half was watching friends fly their machines, as he was waiting on surgery to repair his last surgery, torn apart in PT. After errands Brady and I decided to stop and let him know we would see him at home but I had to open a farm gate to do so then drive through and then close it behind me, well I didn’t see the cows!
Next thing I know they are in what I could only describe as a stampede! OK on full throttle for the white car, lol a tiny little Yaris against 70+ big and small cows. I was now safely back in the car, Brady very curious of course and now deciding he wanted to be a real herding dog, lol low growl as he tried to convey his displeasure of being surrounded by them and the flies they were sadly covered in.
I called Ron on the phone and asked “NOW WHAT?”. I was told to drive slow and they would move, all I could think of was all the cowboys I had watched out west moving herds with their steads, my Toyota was far from that. :) I did do a slow crawl past the mothers and their calves, scared they would toss a hoof into the side of my car. I made it clearly as I am here, but see how paintings take on life in my head I just tried to make it a pretty scene and not the one everyone on the hill was laughing about as they heard panic come through Ron’s phone speaker.
Then Brady and I enjoyed a Hamburger.

They must have thought you were bringing the feed! :D
Someone said maybe the farmer has a white vehicle damn who knew cows saw colors but our pets don’t? lol
I find cattle quite alarming and try to avoid them when walking.
I know what you mean they look mild tempered but……they kick you you won’t walk away maybe crawl :) I forgot to add the photo of the herd lol I will see if I can edit.
I added their photos once I was safely on the road, from a 100 feet or better away, with the electric fence between us.
A fence is always good.
I never knew they were flying in and out of the pond the cows also wade through yikes I will call before I just drive in the next time :)
Good plan.
Ha Ha
LOL! They were only curious! 😂 Glad no damage was done and Brady got his reward for growling! 😉 Love your painting and the photos Eunice. How is Ron doing?
