You already know I live in New England, actually New Hampshire to be exact, but I spend a lot of time in Maine as well since it is a short drive up the coast to its state line.
This week, Tuesday actually I was pleased to finally meet my nephew and his mom. He is 42 and had been looking for his dad, my brother, for years only to use ancestry.com and get a hit on one of our cousins. She told me and I reached out. I sent him some photos electronically as he was 3000+ miles away.
Sad that the connection took this long as my brother had passed away 4 years prior to his reaching out. He would have loved to see him.
We spent the day on the coast of Maine, Portland that is, and the following day they drove to our place, and we took them out in the old taxi and pickup truck, just around the corner where we ate an early supper of Mexican (they are from California) food, one of their favorite cuisine’s mine too.

Sounds like a wonderful family day! My husband and I were out seeing family yesterday, too.
Wonderful it was such a nice day to do that.
Yes!
I am glad that you met your missing relative, even though there were probably mixed emotions on both sides.
A lovely set of photos.
Worked out great just wish my brother his dad was still alive xo
Good for you to have met your nephew, even if your brother couldn’t. Looks like the weather gods gave you a perfect day for the outing. š
It was so nice cold for the California folks but for us a much-needed break :)
