I enjoyed the Solar Eclipse all the same. From my house I was 3 hours away from totality but also not in an 8-10 hr. traffic jam.
I had a cheap pair of carboard glasses I held up in front of my Nikon last shot was a quick shot without protection.

Nice all the same, esp. without being stuck in traffic. I hear it was horrendous!
Friends in it for over 8 hours but it is truly amazing they say but the ride back wasn’t worth it for some.
Amazing.
Thanks Cindy I had to try.
One of my friends got stuck in the jam, but said he thought it was still worth it!
I bet it was for many it happens every year somewhere so there is always one to capture.
We decided against attempting the traffic. The 90.5% eclipse we saw from our own front stoop was still pretty darned amazing.
It sure was but sad after seeing what others captured and the tales, they told :) Like you it was a hard pass on 8 hours of crawling traffic.
:)
Good shots with your cardboard glasses!
Thanks, I had to give it a shot :)
