What are the Chances?

Bloganuary writing prompt
What would you do if you won the lottery?

Slim to none probably, though over the last 40 years I have had many small winning tickets. I only pay $1 or $2 nowadays for a ticket and then only when it is a huge jackpot. It’s about the dream, right?

Now what would I do? I would rent a house at the beach and knock my current home down, as it only started out as a camp, that was later added onto.

It has a stone foundation with a dirt basement in the original part of the home, where I once had a washer and dryer, and furnace, but it has had too many snakes and rodents calling it home so now all of those appliances are now crammed into my living space.

Mind you I am being taxed on a 900 sq foot home not a mansion. So, my new home would be a modest, one level ranch, with a very thick snake proof concrete slab! Wait they make those right?

It would have a master bedroom with a walk-in shower and a 3-season porch, that is bear proof :)

I would want a nice size living room, an eat in kitchen, 2 bedrooms and another room overlooking the property where I could paint in the winter and double as a guest room/office with a murphy bed, see I have thought about it seriously for 30 years :)

Then half of what is left would of course go to humans/animals who have less or nothing at all.

I know clearly what charity really is so what is left when I pass it would also be divided up to go to others in need, as you can’t take it with you.

Enjoy your day,
Eunice

  1. I wouldn’t change my house but I would first travel to places I have always wanted to such as, Rome and Machu Pichu. I would leave the rest to family and charities for animals. Have a good day Eunice and I hope your dreams come true one of these days.
