Boy Did the New Moon Mess with Us

We go along nicely with abnormal temperatures with heavy rainfalls then BAM, we get slammed with a foot of snow then 3–5-inch rainstorm washes all but the snowbanks away, it is NUTS out there!

Waves battered the east coast of the United States I mean they were relentless with wave after wave crashing and moving objects never touched before.

This is a photo taken at low tide in Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts, with the seas still too dangerous for anyone to venture out into.

A young girl tried to ice skate on what she thought was a frozen pond in Vermont and it took two people to bring her back from sure death.

Another fire department rescued a deer stuck some 300 feet from shore, on ice, and used their equipment meant for humans. Both the hero and deer made it to land safely.

One story after another and with a big play-off football game postponed until today the team and city asked their faithful to come shovel out their seats for $20 per hour, some made it a game, I am sure his parents are so proud lol I hope he is not sick after being shirtless as he did his part to clean the stadium. This happy young man’s face is all over the news and internet.

Roads covered with debris had us taking many detours on our ride the day after the storm. Barricades telling us water was too high to cross for our own safety were ignored by many who knew better.

Going around the barricades.

Now we were told just 6″ of rushing water was enough to knock us off our feet but the real loss not seen in this video will be the undercarriage and brakes from all the salt water unless they run it through the car wash twice then it’s still sketchy.

The seas are still beautiful to visit as the tide pulls away and we are not in danger here at this location of getting hit by boulders, logs, tires and anything else swept out then tossed back at the shoreline.

The birds of prey were very active the morning after the storm with me watching a Harrier coast on the wind always watchful for the next meal, he should come to my place. Video is not professional by any means, and it is hard to follow them with a camera in your hand, looking through the eye piece or that’s my story maybe a cellphone would have been better.

Northern Harrier in the wind.

Brady loves when I don’t have to work so we can go for walks cold doesn’t seem to deter him I do have a beautiful jacket, but he likes playing out in the snow like the young football fan. :)

Brady loves to eat snow.

Looking for treasure and toughing out the winds.

Have a great week and stay safe.

Eunice
