I have the perfect location for maybe 9 months of the year but come winter I would love to have a spot to sit and read as well as paint all by myself and still have heat and a comfortable seat. Yes, the new dog would join me, but a TV, NOPE!
I do these things the rest of the year outdoors along the river every chance I get, surrounded by gardens I really was too crippled to have put in, but now to sit among all that hard work it was so worth my effort, as old age will settle in deeper, but the plants and trees are here to stay.
I guess a small gazebo with screens for summer and glass for winter would work, with a small stove to keep me and my paints warm would be the icing on the cake wait maybe all that natural light bouncing off the snow would be the icing, right.

‘A Room of One’s Own’ … Virginia Woolf wrote of the same need and wish. We all need and deserve our private space. 💜
Mine was always the cab of my rig, these days I have a life, I need a bit more :)
A garden to sit it figures high on my perfect place list but I couldn’t write outdoors.
My yard is quieter than my house most days with him watching TV then again, the bird songs can be deafening here too.
That sounds like a great idea. I would love to have such thing too. It could be a screen porch attached to your house but with something that can help shield some wind in winter time and yes the stove you mentioned.
Yes, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery.
we deserve it :)
Just here to say that I love the pictures
Thanks so much! Happy New Year!
I know why no TV,because within you is a vase imagination that crosses time zones and travels distant worlds all in an instance in a blink of an eye that’s the magic of an author,a writer.
How beautiful. Thanks for stopping by.
Getting to that gazebo when the snow drifts pile high might be a bit of a problem. Such is life during the winter in New Hampshire. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year Karen
Good thing I have a JD tractor no shoveling for us anymore. :)
