A huge loss felt by all of us here in New England, but more so by the people who live in Lewiston Maine and the local surrounding area after the recent shooting that took so many lives and left many others to heal from visible injuries never mind the countless others who will have long recoveries from their loss or having come through that night only to be haunted by what they witnessed all around them as well as those stuck in homes and businesses shuttered while they hunted for this man.
I know Maine and those who call it home well after so many years trucking and vacationing there and my heart breaks for all of them.

My father was from Western Maine, the mill town of Rumford, and I still have family there. It’s not very far from Lewiston. It was absolutely horrible to watch this senseless tragedy unfold and to think, as you point out, of all the physical pain and mental anguish that those dear people experienced or must live with for the rest of their lives.
I used to truck out of Rumford Mill well actually every mill I feel so badly for all of them.
I think it is the dilemma that appears to keep on and on in our country. It so sad to hear the event likes this a dozen times a year. Even once is too many…
