With leaves changing and winds kicking up later today all I can focus on it seems is snow and cold.
So, to answer your prompt my mind goes to making this place warmer with sealing spots winter cold enters and heat escapes. We actually hung 2 new LED lights in the kitchen last night wow so nice to have bright light as we lose real daylight at this time of the year. Soon to turn our clocks back one hour as well.
Also adding additives to our gasoline and diesel to keep our engines safe when it turns brutally cold but actually with no killing frost as of yet here on the seacoast of New Hampshire though we may dip down to 38F Tuesday night the rest of the week will be gorgeous.
Enjoy your Sunday!

NICE POST 💚💯

Thanks Joe I have been here for over 12 years I think :)
I’m still behind, and this weekend’s rain is not my friend!
I know what you mean it rained Friday night all day Sat (over 2 inches) We put in 2 new Led dights with daylight bright lights so I cleaned what I could now see :) then we took a ride for an apple cider doughnut and a very long walk with Brady as by this afternoon we just had sprinkles.
We just had a few sprinkles today as well. What a crazy weather year!
I swear it has rained 13 or 15 weekends lol snow better not follow suit. :)
Shhhh
It’s about the same here Eunice, getting dark around 5-30 now but still very warm during the day. Cold evenings. We are still trimming trees down in the garden and tidying plants, plus collecting up fallen leaves. ordering logs for the woodburner. OMG only 7 weeks to Xmas. Have a good week and take care. Regards to you both.
It is crazy how time flies as we get older Rita it was just summer here and, in a month, we will celebrate Thanksgiving over here. and snow and football will be all we talk about besides the cold and fuel prices. Go easy in your gardens it is 60-70 F here then 40-50 F at night we just got 2 more inches of rain, so I let my gardens stay messy all winter for the wildlife to forage then do one spring cleanup. Love to you both xo
It is good to be prepared. My usual policy is to hope that it won’t happen, whatever it is.
For sure that is the positive way to look forward!
Hi Eunice,
Sounds like you’re buckling in for winter.
I meant to visit you days ago, but I got behind.
One of my Pussy cats got suddenly ill and had to be put to sleep.
I’m still not fully over it, but visiting blog pals is a way to go.
Resa xx
OH No Resa I am so sorry for your loss xo Take care and let the tears flow we were their everything <3
Thank you, Eunice. It’s a week now, and I’m still missing him. xo
I still cry over my girls now gone just over 5 years xo
Understood! xo
Winter prep here too Eunice. Finally planting the garlic today… a bit late, but better late than never! LOL!
it is in the 70’s and 80’s F here this week so I will wait I guess until November to plant the garlic here in New Hampshire.
Nice post. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks

Thank you
Sounds like fun! Easy days, simple tasks. What more would anyone want on a wonderful Fall day?
Exactly and now just enjoying the 70’s and 80’s as the 30’s will kill everything by Tuesday :) but all mowing done, and summer things stored in the barn.
that’s nice
Thank you

Oh no! Did you get any snow flurries today? We did in West Virginia!
No but cold and raw. Hoping Indian Summer arrives and sticks around. Some parts of VT, NH and Maine did get some snow just not us.
