Consolidate is what we now have to do.

He came through the grueling 8-hour surgery yesterday and is now finally extubated but with chest tubes still in place I will wait a bit longer to pop in for a visit, allowing for time to get his pain level manageable, as I have seen enough in the last three weeks.

When he comes home and is back at what his ever his new 100% will be, what with all of his new plumbing and an aortic valve no less, he will need to begin to consolidate all of his belongings, as the level that is now here teeters on hoarding for me.

It was a close call for him and now I hope he sees things differently with actual blood flow adding even more oxygen to help with rational thinking.

Starting with diet and diabetes but also all this crap he has amassed in 71 years. I tried to not let fear in as he complained the whole time while the hospitals did their thing, but I also thought many times if he did not pull through this time what would I do with all of his things.

He may just make $30,000 if he sells and scraps it all which may help to pay for his heart surgery or just make him a bit lighter mentally and me less stressed as a bonus which will make me easier to live with.

Take care of yourselves
Eunice

  1. Oh my goodness Eunice I didn’t realize Ron was so ill, such a worry for you also. I do hope he will soon be feeling well again and you can enjoy life together without so much stress. Remember to take care of yourself also Eunice.

    1. OH man I did not know he was but the way he lived I knew eventually it would catch up him :(

Grateful he has lived through this but when I went to see him in ICU today some drama was happening on the floor and they said there would be an extended wait and since I worked and had been gone 5 hrs already with the new dog at home plus travel time to get back home I had to leave without seeing him maybe I will try once he is out of intensive care unit. I am taking care of me no one else will xo

    1. OH, he will be fully recovered and running around doing all his favorite things before that subject is brought up again, but I will spend the time now while he is away tossing and donating all of my things no longer needed.
