Friday Night Here

Hello Everyone

Work has been going good but finally I think I may be able to work just the 2 days a week I was hired for as one who had been out is back and they have had a couple of new hires.

I need to work on my 1956 truck and add more seeds into my raised beds
of food, that I actually eat a lot of. I have yellow beans, tomato, cucumbers, lettuce and zucchini in so far and growing nicely considering the weather we have had lately. Garlic scrapes are ready for me to sauté.

Rainy days make many things grow nicely here but I worry about all my garlic rotting before it is ready to harvest the beds have drainage, but we have had many days where the sun has not shone.

Today I pulled out some of my pansies at home and replaced them with Proven Winner petunias for summer heat lol hope ours shows up soon.

Starting tomorrow motorcycles will begin to roll into our state for the 100th year. Here is a link all about it if you are also a rider.

My other half’s 71st birthday is Sunday, and they swear the sun will shine and it will be in the mid 70’s F so we will go for a nice ride and stop for breakfast in our trucks then do what he wants as the next day back to work.

Have a great weekend and stay safe!

  1. Hi Eunice your plants look so healthy, they must like your weather rain or not. My good neighbour gave me some tomato plants, now hear the weather is so hot I have to put them where there is some shade as well as sun but then we have strong winds as well which burn the leaves, finaly put them at the side of a shed we have on our balcony sheltered from the wind. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to RON have a good day together. Be happy and take care.

    1. I will tell him of the far away wishes xo Yes weather is getting crazy everywhere. We get nasty wind and today the skies opened, and hail fell now sunny with more rain arriving but soon we will leave for a car show south of us and pray the rain stays away since I have no wiper blades on mine :)

Tomorrow a long ride in the sunshine breakfast for the birthday boy then whatever he wants to do for the rest of the day.

    1. My birds go next door and tear my neighbor’s fresh beet greens up lol and leave my stuff alone. Thank you, this evening is glorious, and tomorrow is a promise of sunshine and warmth I bet all my Peonies open :)
