They always look so ragged during molt, but they sure renew themselves splendidly!
I hope they can after this season of such awful heat. I cannot wait to see how many babies made it this year when they pose again in my snow-covered apple tree.
Yes ! the poor birds and other animals are suffering with this heat. It’s so hot here today 30 deg . but at least they can shelter under the trees.
Yes so true but here in my town we plant then large landowners sell out and every tree is leveled :( stay safe in the heat. xo

Good picture. Moulting bird always look very sad.
I agree I took more today it has to be awful where temps are in the 100’s day after day glad fall is upon us but with cold coming in fast for a few nights I worry they will not have enough protection then I remind myself of bluebird baths in the dead of winter brrr
