What Happened to Our Pretty Snow

Give me 3 foot of snow and be done.
This ice and the forecast of high winds is nuts!
This I can tell you is no fun.
We 3 are trying to stay safe and not fall on our butts!

:)

Poor Brady has been sick since Christmas night with a bad stomach.
Constantly running out side to go. :(
He is now on a bland diet of water, boiled hamburger and plain white rice.
No begging allowed. Praying it is not pancreatitis as it can be fatal.

Stay safe everyone.

    1. Thank you so much. When I called the vets office they called right back but with the ice I was trapped here. They have a mobile unit if he does come around with this rice and burger diet. Praying.

                1. Wow I would need a state truck load here. I would have bought 5 or 10 yards of sand and tarped it but it freezes still with out the salt in it and I don’t want it running off into my gardens or river :( so we got 2 5 gal pails and spread where we walk. I did try the chopper but on dirt it is useless when the ground is frozen. Snow tonight I think on to of it all will be worse with just a dusting. His RC plane group meet each year on New Years morning to fly Frozen Fingers they call it tomorrow it will be. Happy New Year.

    1. Thank you. The vet called back and said give him boiled meat and white rice and not better by Wed afternoon or Thursday he needs to be brought in. Thanks so much and yes I have had worse ice storms around here but I wasn’t this old :)

    1. It is nuts up here I know I complain each time it happens but with so much needing to be plowed I am doomed. I told Ron if I lived alone just the front would be plowed and maybe a walkway from the back door around front to have 2 escape routes :) with snow you get some traction.

  1. Ours is encased in ice as well here in northern Vermont. Rained all day yesterday, mostly freezing on the roads, power went out (glad we invested in a generator last year), and now the temp is 10 degrees. Yuk.
Please, where are you sun? Our solar is not terribly efficient this year.

    1. I thought he was doing a bit better by 10 am so I took him for a 40 min ride and the same time back to the house to pick up my art that had been on display. He never once asked to get out of the car. Fingers crossed the boiled rice and meat and time is making him better. Cathy stated he may have gobbled up too much snow and that was truly one issue I kept having with him and tried to get him to stop. Now it is frozen not so easy to get a mouth full. Thanks again nothing worse than not knowing how long it will take for them to come through it.

  2. You three take care! I hope poor Brady gets better soon too. Maybe he ate too much snow? Ours used to eat it and it gave them tummy ache. Stay safe!

Love to hear from you
