I just don’t know when to let it be! Why can’t I just walk away lol
I cleaned my palette and will start again. It will never come out the same but that’s okay.
We had snow, just the pain in the butt kind.
The yard is sheer ice and now it is covered by fluffy snow.

I decided to clear some off but it was so slippery I gave up.

The bears are still out and about. I toss seed out 3 times a day. Then the winds kick up, or I use a leaf blower to clean the area.
It has been so cold here but hope is on the horizon.
With them calling for Friday to have heavy rain and in the high 40 F to 50 F degrees. I sure hope it melts some of this ice. Where will the water go? Before temperatures drop into the thirties F, it will freeze up once again as the ground is frozen.

Brady loves to eat fresh fallen snow and I try to discourage it, my well water has to be cleaner.
Even the birds flock here and not the river for a drink. Then again I plug it in and it keeps the water from freezing.

Everyone one shows up for a free meal at my place.
Then it’s time for us to come in and warm up and wait for dinnertime.

While I watch the birds from inside.

Until they head into the forest to call it a night as well.
I always feel horrible for the animals when the weather is so nasty. Be it in the frigid cold or blistering heat, but I guess they do know how to care for themselves and they have me lol
Take care and stay safe
Eunice

I like your painting very much.
Thank you. I loved the beginning as I played but worked too hard to make something else happen after I tried to place tall birch trees into the scene. I will see if it sells on the 20th at Roselynn’s in Epping. So thank you very much.
You’re welcome! I find the painter’s process fascinating.
Maybe like writing. First you lay out your thoughts as to which way the story should go but after twists and turns, the story evolves.
That makes sense!
So lovely to look at xx
It’s pretty but I will swap with you any day xo
I love your latest painting Eunice! Lovely shots of the snow and your yard too, with your sweet Brady. He is quite handsome, isn’t he! Take care with that ice. 🤗
Thank you he is so handsome I can not even get a good photo :) He is in a running for a magazine cover voting starts in Jan. on the 6th hope he gets a few votes he is such a good boy and so loved.
Thanks that painting I loved then hated then ruined it I would say but I had fun painting and used up all the nasty old paint on my palette.
Ice is sickening on dirt drives for sure.
Now time for a craft fair on the 20th in my own town and I have to read Shawshank Redemption for a book club I have not attended in more than a year.
I have to have imaging done to see if the lung cancer has grown and need photos of one of my heart valves but I feel good not working has been the best move. <3
Oh, that doesn’t sound good Eunice. Glad you are taking it easy. 🤗
I am. Craft fair Sat all day then I buckle down and toss out things here I do not need either into cardboard boxes at the top of my street for others to have for free or I will sell them on Facebook and donate. When I fell in late April or early May it was my ribs that hurt now my wrists seeing that doctor on Tuesday then settling in for Christmas no matter the shape it takes :)
It is definitely a beautiful time of year!
When it is falling and is fresh it is gorgeous. 50’s Friday I am a happy lady even though it will be rain then freeze solid :(
We’re looking forward to our walk today because it is finally supposed to be above freezing for the next few days, even hitting 50 here too. Now, if those howling winds would just calm themselves! We get wind off Champlain that go on for days sometimes.
We are to get nasty winds from the south and 50 degrees and pouring rain then 18 at night for a new ice skating ring effect :( Stay safe I worry about my 300 foot white pines next to my home.
It is hard to stop trying to improve a piece of work, whether it is painted or written.
Thank you.
