Hurricane Erin: Anticipating 60-Foot Swells

https://www.wmur.com/weather/radar

If you click on the link above you will see Erin, our Atlantic Hurricane.

You will have to zoom out and click where it says past and click on future then zoom out and play the clip. Seems they are calling for 60 foot tall swells and everyone on a boat and plane is circumventing her.

I am not sure what happens to a monster storm like this only that they say it stays off our main land and keeps curving north then east and further out into the Atlantic.

For those of you across the pond do you ever get our remnants of storms such as this type?

Stay safe

  1. We do often get the tail end of hurricanes, but luckily they have usually run out of steam by the time they hit the UK or the coast of France and we just get some strong winds inland. I’m a long way from any coasts here in the south of Germany though, but I would love to see some of those waves…. from a very safe distance! Hope it doesn’t get too windy where you are. Maybe it will bring you some rain?

    1. Those are though of us in a drought wish for over here :) Anytime you want to see live tv of what is going on you can go to Nag Head NC beach cams, CT, NY and MA and NH ones online to see the action lol Have a great day we have light rain today as we take a very long drive on my day off up into VT with Ron and Brady to our friends farm with horses, cows and a goat as well as a cat it should be interesting to see how he does. They have 3 dogs too oh boy :)

  2. Sometimes we’re completely unaware, other than what we’re told on the news. Weather is so changeable and such an unpredictable science. It can be flat calm at our end of the Algarve and blowing like crazy at the Atlantic end, and there’s only an hour and a half drive between the two. Hope you stay safe xx

Love to hear from you
