Man was it tough at 2:30 am to start tracking this luna eclipse, which was a total eclipse of the moon, not a dangerous one they said to shoot but it is in the 20’s F and for some reason my camera would not let me get tack sharp images of it. Maybe I am shaky at 69 lol or not the breath control I once had but here is what I could get.
Here are some of my attempts :) warning I wish they could have been clear like my other full moons it was just too dark I guess :)

Yours are much better than mine, and it was too darn cold to fuss with the camera! I was pretty awed by the amazing color, and so glad the stars came out!
It was so clear here and I almost turned the alarm off because they said clouds would be present. :) Yes, I set my 900 Nikon to moon and wished in the dark I had set it to manual but mine cannot be attached to my tripod so in the end I just snapped 160 photos and half asleep I tried to figure out a few of what I thought were good enough to share.
Great technique!
I applaud your getting out there! I awoke around 4:15 and it was nearly over, oh well.
It was pretty but if I had to work it would have been crazy, thou I usually get up at 3 to get to work by 4:30 but yesterday I helped them out by working 2:30-7 pm then napped a few hours.
Thank you for getting the lunar eclipse photos, Eunice! I slept through the whole thing.
I worked as a favor then supper at 8 pm and a short nap then up at 2:30 wish I had grabbed a shot before the sun began to cover it.
WOW!
lol Thanks Cindy can you image if I had gotten good ones, it was just so dark with the sun blocking the moon.
We didn’t get a full eclipse here, and I didn’t get out of bed to see it anyway, so it was a treat to see these pictures.
Thank you just wish it had not been so dark lol
You did well.
Thank you.
Amazing photos Eunice! And well done for being up at that time of nightin the cold too! We had thick cloud here, and it would probably have been too low in the sky for us to see here anyway – there is a wooded hill that way! It was a lot later here though (7am) so I didn’t have to get up early to look just in case. 😉
So funny how opposite ends see things in the night sky mine was high and full in my southwest corner, right off the patio but I climbed a bit of a grade so my visual would skip the tree tops it is hard here with 100–300-year-old trees in my forest area.
I could see the tiny moon with bare eyes but when you zoom into the night it is a crapshoot without the use of a tripod and remote tool for snapping the photos which I have all of that but never use them :)
😃 I checked out those seed websites you sent me. Oh my goodness, what a lot of choice you have! Nothing like that here in Germany! Mind you, those prices…. 😝 Thanks for sending me them Eunice. Even if I can’t order it has been fun browsing!
I would send contraband in some watercolor cards for you :) Our country is fanatic about gardening and feeding ourselves.
A riend just told me she smuggled seeds home from a holiday in the US last year… I am too much of a scaredy cat, but I suppose the worst that can happen is that they are confiscated. 🤣
As long as they cannot destroy your countries native species no harm no fowl.
