Look at that beautiful car or should I call it a touring automobile! I am sure if it was mine yellow would not have been my choice for such a beauty.
We took my 1956 F100 for a spin to a member only event, maybe 20 min. from home, with light snow flurries in the air. This place that opened its doors to club members restores all kinds of vehicles.
We had been before and saw some of the cars there the last time so we didn’t stay long, and he was worried we would be stuck out there in a truck with no 4×4. Ha Ha, just like the old days.
When we got home, I grabbed Brady and my tiny dependable Toyota.
It was Eagle Fest a half hour ride away in Massachusetts and though the tide would not be right, or water frozen over to see the Eagles feast on ducks or fish from the shoreline it was still a day out of the house before I return to work on both Monday and Tuesday, then on Wednesday for 2 hours, I will give some neighbors a Watercolor lesson.
Well, I am sure glad I grabbed the front wheel drive as the winds were fierce and the snow squall was serious and far too early to arrive if we are to believe our weather reporters.
Here is a bit on this red structure that sits in the dunes along the Salisbury Beach Reservation. It is Red though in this squall it is hard to really tell.
Ben Butler’s Toothpick, located in the Salisbury Beach State Reservation, is a pyramidal-shaped navigational marker dating back to the late 19th century. Named after a Civil War general, it stands at the end of a jetty that extends into the mouth of the Merrimack River. In its heyday, the toothpick served as a warning to boats approaching from the Atlantic Ocean. Nowadays, it’s a well-known point of reference for boaters and is simply referred to as “The Toothpick.” The marker consists of a wooden, stick-framed pyramidal structure mounted on a high, mortared granite-block square base.
Not many boaters were out in this.
I usually can grab some shots of our local raptors but this time I could not stand outside with 50+mph winds even Brady had to wait to take his walk away from the Merrimack River.
The day before I got a couple of lucky, on the wing shots, they are not perfect, but neither am I :)

Our boy loves when I take him on rides and then we get out and look for things well him mostly spots to pee on, boys will be boys.

He has filled in since we got him, yes gained weight, but I think that was bound to happen as he was no longer running the streets and the vet fixed him so there would be no desire to hunt the ladies down. So yes, maybe too many snacks but he is such a good boy that needed so much love and attention I added at least one, 1 mile walks a day, which by the way is trashing my hips or causing sciatica not sure yet.
His food stated 1 and 1/2 cups 2 times a day which is all I fed him with a few cookies, tiny ones, for training purposes so I have cut back on garbage commercial dog food and started to add some eggs, liver and turkey, I promise I will get him back to a healthy weight as I try to complete my journey as well. We are good for each other.
I am still painting when the urge arrives, but I am hardly ever home. I cannot wait until I am here most days with my hands in the dirt, well once I clean up after my boy.
Have a great week!

I thought that they were good shots on the wing.
Thank you.
I thought so, too.
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! It sounds as though you had a good week.
Making the best out of winter :)
:)
Your boy looks great!!!
Awe thanks he is such a good boy .
Hi Eunice, Brady is looking good, that’s because you are looking after him so well with so much love. Great photo’s of the bird on the wing.
Have a good week.
Thank you, Rita, how are you both doing? Thanks for stopping by xo I am hoping you are ok what’s the weather like now over there?
The winds here on Crete are bitterly cold Eunice even though the sun shines, but we are O.K. and keep warm and cosy by our wood burner. I shall be glad when summer arrives. Take care.
Me too but not the oppressive heat summer seems to bring so much of.
Those bird shots are far bette than I could get Eunice. Didn’t look much fun at the beach. Hope you can get your pup’s weight down. We have never had that problem with mine as I am too strict! LOL! Loved that car… so what colour would you have it in? 😉
Thanks Cathy no Sat. was miserable but Sunday we got the walk done even with my hip area pain we both needed exercise. He went from non-stop running the local roads and highways to a more chill life while my other half was in the hospital everything was turned upside down, so I am doing it gradually with him. I am thinking a dark blue or dark green for that kind of car not sure what was available when it was manufactured, I will have to look it up. Have a wonderful week. I hear England will get snow, but we will be seeing temps gradually warm just hoping the garlic stays under the dirt here in New England.
My garlic is up a couple of inches in places, so hope we don’t get snow again!
Mine was ok with snow I worried about rain the sub 0 freezing (F) once it came up. Gardening is such a crap shoot.
I think Brady is beautiful!
Thank you.
Followed you interesting blogs hope we can grow together ❤️ do check mine posts too thank you
Nice post Eunice. It’s kinda of crazy that you ventured out in that storm.
Still, you are okay, and Brady looks gorgeous. He looks healthy to me.
I think he is healthy though he added a bit of weight during all the health bs we dealt with <3 I was born in a snowstorm so I guess I can handle most of what is thrown my way lol xo
Lol! Born in a snowstorm sounds interesting. I was born in a heat wave. We could maybe create a nice medium day! ❦❦❦
For sure!
