For those celebrating our American holiday stay safe and enjoy it no matter what the day looks like for you.
Maybe you are alone and just have a sandwich and soup or a crazed gathering of 25+ with too many cooks in the kitchen or like us going out for a meal with a bunch of strangers, make it a good day!
I did buy a ham steak and I also have broccoli and sweet potatoes at the ready for a normal supper on Friday or Saturday.
We will take rides and Brady for walks and just be thankful for all we do have.

Nope did not want to wait for 1 1/2 hours so we hit the beach in Salisbury and went the “The Hungry Traveler”.

That sounds like a good scheme. You can easily spend too much time, money and effort on these special days so that they become a chore and not a celebration.
Exactly my point of view I much prefer at 67 to go with the flow and really enjoy the day then to stress over everything being as it once was in my life. It is what it is, and I am done recreating with so many gone from my life now.
