As a treasure hunter (metal detector (nutsfortreasure blog) for a reason
but on this occasion, I went with my other half and his boss, out into our Portsmouth NH River to check his lobster traps.
He would winch one trap after another up from the bottom of the river, reach in and take each lobster out being careful to measure each one and to make sure none were females with eggs, and those that did not measure up were put back into the river.
Once the traps were empty, we had to rebait them with fish heads that STUNK! Worst part!
So, after a few hours up comes a trap, I grab it to see if any lobster were inside and begin the process all over and when I opened the trap guess what I found?
It was a BONG! It was a pretty blue(plastic) one and it still sits in my bedroom as a memento from say 15 years ago and no it has never been used by us :) we are old hippies.
I knew you would never guess!
Eunice

So much treasure over the years and so much we have found the owners of.

You’re right. I never would have guessed bong!
lol I was shocked when I open the trap and saw it sitting in there I turned and asked his boss if he lost something :)
I can imagine! :D
WOW those look very interesting Eunice, Quite a bit of jewelry there isn’t there. So nice of you to have found the owners and were able to return them. I bet they were most grateful. Hope you had a good weekend.
That was just one of our trays we have a gold one, silver one and all kinds of mixed items. So much fun calling someone to say you found something they lost some hang up and others can’t wait to get it back :)
Since I work only Mon-Tuesdays for the most part I have 5 day weekends :) Have a great week!!!! xo
Quite a catch of the day!
lol
Mrs T fantasises about being a metal detector and finding an ancient buried hoard.

LOL! The things people lose! 😉
