Titled “Dunes” by E. Miller

I have been trucking and yes, I had forgotten what a nightmare it could be. The storms are not the worst part of this job but mostly the trucks I am given being ancient or appear as though they are lol and when you have a car, truck or semi that many drivers use they become even worse, but I did it for the exercise and boy I got plenty on Tuesday’s run!
Tonight, I head out just after 1:30 am yes so technically it will be a very early Saturday morning run. The truck that had no heat but now it does, and it will be a cold night I hear so I am grateful it was repaired.
Yesterday it snowed here maybe 4- or 5-inches total with another 6 or more due for my nightmare Tuesday 2 am run but today I applied for a waitress job to either replace trucking job or to do a few hours on days I have free. Wish me luck π
Here are a few shots from yesterday where I was busy clearing snow while he worked from 4 am until 4:30 pm and my visitors were many hungry birds and even had a visit from my male and female ducks from last spring and they were so happy to see me they ran up to me for their handout of cracked corn and black oil sunflower seeds.
Life is good if we remember to look all that we are blessed with.

Thankful I can be here for them when the time comes that I must be in the south for winters I will miss them all very much.
Have a great weekend!
I looked at the sky this morning and thought of you, it was a ‘watercolor sky.’
Wear extra layers tonight… glad the heater is fixed, I hope nothing else goes wrong. Maybe waiting tables is a better choice. π You’ll need good sneakers though, with all that walking, burning the calories!
Yes, I have great feet and pretty sneakers π I have to dress warm you just never know when his truck will take a fit π
Love the dunes!
Thank you
In the south for winters? Have I missed something? Or is it just an idea and not yet a planβ¦. Maybe not a bad idea. Love your painting Eunice. Good luck with the job – not sure which I would choose, but both sound like hard work. Hope you are getting decent pay! Take care. π
$30 per hr love the work hate the equipment π yes maybe winters in the south Florida or NC π
Hi Eunice, what can I say ! except that I am sure the waitress job would be far less stressful than trucking, so good luck I hope you get the job. Those birds are so pretty and they certainly love it when you are around because they know you will feed them. I hope you don’t have much more snow, dam stuff is so treacherous. Anyway spring will soon be on the way. Take care and have a good weekend.
Thank you me too. They do know where the feed bag is π Maybe 12 hours south of me it is 80F degrees, and we will be 0F or colder tonight with nasty winds hopefully letting up. Ron is hoping to buy a newer car tomorrow once I get home from work in the morning. Come on SPRING! π
I love your atmospheric watercolor! Your feathered friends all look very happy. Good for getting the waitress job!
Fingers crossed they hire me π and thank you.
You’re welcome. π
I enjoyed the birds and the art work. The trucking must be hard in that weather.
Driving isn’t bad in the snow when the truck is nice, and I am out there at 2:30 am with no one out on the roads usually except police and other truckers thankfully. Thank you, bad shots of them through the glass but did the best I could and thanks on the art in person I love it π
