BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY

Getting shots of birds in their natural surroundings is not as easy as shooting landscapes so I challenge myself with getting them as candid looks though I swear most of my feathered visitors pose for me.

Always watching me through the dirty windows.

Living here in New England we get an enormous amount of birds both visitors and residents.
The skies and trees are where they can be seen from dusk till dawn.

Never lacking in color

Truly it is hard to get my work done once dawn has broken so I get up early and do my inside chores then go out with fresh water for the heated spa, as well as scatter food as we have bears and it is much too early to be putting out food except for the Blue Birds they love mealworms and the woodpeckers, I get a variety of suet cakes to supplement the lack of bugs as the cold begins to creep in upon us.

Bird Birds love heated birdbaths

It’s so true snapping a shot of my landscape is easy but getting these beauties to sit still and pose for me is tough and if you try it is so worth the challenge.

Blue Birds love this tree as much as me.

Your welcome to reach out if you see a shot you would like on a card or maybe a metal print which is all the rage now. šŸ™‚
