With rains arriving just when they are needed the property is filling in nicely and I have been too busy to deal with this but soon a hole will be punched in the dam to release water as a lake drains mid October and if there are any obstructions my home gets damaged.
Both of us enjoying a break
After doing all the yardwork I sat down to take in the view as did my visiting Ruby Throated Hummingbird on the swing I put up for them.
I have so many objects in this yard that birds use as well as dragonflies as we all need a rest don’t we.

I love the little Hummer swing!
So cute right 🙂 now you know I am nuts!!!!
I like Beaver’s:)
You can come collect all of these 🙂
That would be brave!
They do too much damage I don’t even want 1 🙂
What a beautiful hummingbird. Shame we don’t get them here!
I can not believe you do not have a variety over there. I know Mexico and Canada both see them.
No, the closest we get is the ‘hummingbird’ hawk moth.
From the Tomato Hornworm?
Love the hummingbird! Isn’t nature awesome?❤️😃
For those of us who know how to walk in nature it is just the very best life one can live far away from crazy as we can get 🙂
YES! Nature keeps me grounded and at peace. I experience the best in the spring, summer and fall. I do try to get outside in the winter too but it’s limited. As you know it gets pretty cold here.
It sure does 🙂
Oh I adore the little swing! I do love the beavers but they’re kinda like the bears and raccoons… cute but troublesome when they want to live to close.
For sure these rodents cause thousands in damage and no way to collect 😦
I am impressed that you were close enough to the Hummingbird to get such a beautiful picture. It is a beauty!
Thank so much they fly all around me here not scared of me 🙂 so my only worry is stopping the actual action which I am less successful with.
