My First Show

My small local library opened up their walls for 55 pieces of my Original Watercolors and laid out a spread of yummy finger foods.  I made some punch and dessert and added a few snacks like Salsa as it was Cinco de Mayo.

They told me I had had the highest attendance at the library for a show and it was so nasty out I thought no one would show.  Grateful for friends and strangers that filled the space and had a good time relaxing and chatting with each other.

I painted some bookmarks and passed them out to those who would like one.  Not masterpieces just simple washes that show the way pigments mingle and settle in with each other.

I may do a Photography show down the road here as it was fun to see what ones they gravitated to in this show.  I also sold 14 originals yes I am very grateful for them coming and now as I am almost half way through my 3rd year I will learn even more about this medium I am fascinated with. Thanks for coming along with me on this journey.

    1. Thank you it was huge that just one would show up so I am a very happy lady to see all my friends new and old there 🙂

  1. Congratulations my friend, it does not surprise me that you had such a large showing of attendance at the exhibition. Congrats on the sales, that is a huge number and what it tells me is that you are now on the radar of many who enjoy your beautiful work. Your opening painting here is a fantastic watercolor – monochromatic plays well in this beautiful scene. I am so happy for your Eunice – it comes it the most appropriate time, after the most difficult couple of years you’ve experienced. All my best for continued success – your results being only three years into watercolor are exceptional!!

    1. Thank you Mary yes indeed my life has played out for my followers here. Struggles and Joy and you have always been there to cheer me on so thank you I love your work and it inspires me to keep learning all I can.

      1. Thank you Eunice, but I think you are the one giving inspiration – throughout these last couple of years. I love your work too and am a huge fan of your watercolors and style. Have a great summer ~
