Summertime

SUMMERTIME

Happy August to you al!

Not much going on in my world of late been kind of a slow easy pace which is always nice isn’t it.
We are all fine and Mom is back driving herself!

This is really what I would call the last month of summer in my part of the world and I intend to enjoy every moment.Β  I will hit the steams for gold and the beaches for coins and rings.Β  I will take a few photos lol and yes I will continue to try and be the best Watercolor painter everΒ  πŸ™‚ well from where I sit!Β  I am not sure how others feel after painting but I am exhausted after 3 or 4 hours.Β  I hope as I learn more that will lessen.

The few items I planted are producing nicely but miss my garden full of goodies.Β  My favorite place to shop has been shut down pretty much for a month as the owners and CEO bicker back and forth, Β you may have read about it or seen it on your local news asΒ it is that big of a story.Β  Sad the place will never be the same I fear.Β  I had been traveling 10 miles each way to shop there till they opened one in my town.Β Β Β  We will see what happens now as they are loosing so much money and customers.Β

Well that is pretty much all that is happening in my world these days so I will settle in to enjoy August to the fullest as there will be Sept and Oct to prepare this place for that other season.

Take care of yourselves

  1. Have a beautiful rest of your summer – enjoy as those cold days come way too soon in your neck of the woods.

You’re exhausted after painting because of your level of concentration and focus – depending on what I’m painting I can get really tired as well. But that’s a good thing, means you’re producing and actively involved.

    1. Thanks for your wisdom πŸ™‚ I adore painting πŸ™‚ so glad it is normal when one really gets into it πŸ™‚

    1. πŸ™‚ I am becoming a vegan lol I shopped the local farms on the way across the state dodging hail πŸ™‚ It is very sad indeed 😦

  2. I couldn’t paint for three or four hours if my life depended upon it. How do you do that??? I have an hour in me – maybe two – and I’m over it. What I can do for hours at a time is look at other’s work and try to figure out colors and brushes, and techniques.

I’m ready for fall. The leaves here will be gorgeous because of all the rain we’ve had. This is when I bring my camera out. Happy August to you! And good luck with the vegan thing. You inspire me.

    1. Thanks so much. After 27 years in a big rig and no retired and excited about watercolor I get lost in trying new things and yes Fall will truly be amazing here in the Northeast if summer is any indication πŸ™‚ I can not wait till I progress enough to buy good paints and Hot and Cold press paper of high quality πŸ™‚

    1. You too! We have parts to re-build winter stove and next month we will each by a pallet of fuel then again in OCT and NOV

      1. My flower gardens are on their own this year. I have manged to make jams this week, but my back is suffering. It is healing slowly, but as you know, it’s hard not to do what you want to do. The heating pad and pillows are my besties these days. πŸ™‚

      2. I am so sorry I know that pain all too well see if gentle chair yoga can help some HUGS

      3. Hi, Eunice. Have been doing CLASSICAL STRETCH for back pain relief and prevention with Miranda Esmonde-White Video. It helps… I just (HAVE/dummy me) to keep doing things I’m not supposed to be doing while I’m healing. Bad girl me. Thanks for the HUGS! πŸ™‚
