Stopping in to say hello to all of you wonderful bloggers and followers. I have had no computer issues just trying to clean up the place from a nasty winter and a year of shoulder pain. A month ago was the surgery and yes I know I can not expect miracles but seems in some positions it is better and others there is horrid pain where there wasn’t any before surgery I still have two weeks to go before seeing the doctor to get my questions addressed so I continue with my Physical Therapy and keep trying to get back more use with less pain. Life is good though.
We have been doing some repairs here on the weather-beaten house and 4 more bags of concrete and a few more fires and the yard will be ready to enjoy. I shall share with you two shots of the yard from today May 1, also a photo of my watercolor I have been trying to get to my liking seems I never am DONE 😦 I swear I am NOT a perfectionist lol. When I showed my work I have been doing to my teacher Marina(3 classes now)she said “PUT THESE ON FABRIC!” so I did over in my Zazzle store. I added this one of trees onto an oblong pillow.
Then she gave me homework of sorts. A mission actually. She thought I should FOCUS lol who me 🙂 and begin work on a Body of Art. 50 to 100 paintings of Trees in the Forest different colors but always add my Birch Trees. She loves them. I love making them so this will be easy for me to focus on then she wants me to find fabric people to sell them too. I told her I am good at sharing but not good at selling anything but my ability to drive a rig. She then said wouldn’t you love to see this in a leather drivers seat? Now that in a shiny black rig would keep you awake wouldn’t it 🙂 I am happy just painting and not thinking about pain. I have added it to a canvas print and pillow so we will see if it is just her and I who love trees 🙂
I am saying a prayer for all of you to stay safe and healthy out there. So many places are destroyed here in the US I can not help but think we need to live differently and be kinder to our place we call home. So many trees and vegetation taken down for more and more homes and businesses just plain crazy what will hold our beautiful countryside together. Washington State had a landslide, where my son lives in JH WY has a huge slide as well and now AL and FL hurting once again never mind Washington DC with flooding. Seems we keep taking hit after hit, tornadoes flattening whole communities and townships. Lives lost. Plant a tree for me if you can, be a rebel, pick a spot where it will be able to dig deep into the earth and be a place of beauty for many years to come. We need to save our earth we need green space and most of all we need to breathe.
Here is my world today May 1 2014

Hi Eunice , Yup ! I love all trees but especially evergreens like the Conifers. I also like weeping willows. So sorry you are still in pain with your shoulder, when will it all end ? you are so patient. Congrats with your paintings you are really doing well and trees are so rewarding for you to concentrate on and painting is so relaxing. Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I have a forest here with them all! lol
I asked my PT person today if he could start me on things to strengthen me if muscles can hold shoulder up I hope it will get better quicker 🙂 Have a great weekend
love your painting, you are very talented, keep it up, if you are doing this good now, can you imagine what you will be doing with some years behind you, you are learning fast !! Painting is something I have wanted to try, I might have to now, you are a big inspiration !!
Awe what a nice thing to say xo
I painted with oil as a child but only houses and interiors and truck frames since them 🙂 I am using cheap paint and cheap 140 paper till I think I am to the point where I can make something real pretty! Do it! Go to a paint night or to walart and get a pad of 140 cold press paper not the cheapest but not expensive either then a 5.00 palet of watercolor paint and a plastic white plate and a lg container of water and one round brush or flat one and go to you tube and watch and play it is fun to de-stress 🙂 then show me 🙂
My teacher is pushing me away from CRAFT and wants me to do FINE ART 🙂 I love how relaxing it is 🙂
So go for it!
she is from Russia so she suggested a glass of Vodka 🙂 I can image if I was THAT relaxed 🙂
Nice to hear from you Eunice! Hope you had a happy May 1st. It was a beautiful spring day here and we sat outside in the sun! 😀 Hope the shoulder gets better soon – take it easy!
Had some testing done and it is moving more but with a troubling pain 😦 I will not let it stop me from healing I came home to enjoy sunshine and I painted all afternoon 🙂
Please do the same to stay safe and healthy. Oh one more and enjoy whatever you do too!
🙂 awe thanks 🙂 you too!
Thinking of you too and that shoulder. Don’t overdo it. Happy May and hopefully the sun will shine on us all. 🙂
Amen! We need a few perfect months for everyone to get back into a home, grow their crops for us to eat Have a wonderful weekend HUGS
Hello, Eunice. I like your painting a great deal. How much is your shoulder holding you back. I’ve heard shoulder surgery is one of the worst ones to have. I’m happy that’s one part of me they haven’t cut on. I get irritated when I have to interrupt my day to go to PT, but in the long run, if I don’t go, I’ll never get back the use of my limbs, etc. Remember, God’s in control and it’s all going to happen in his time. I had to re-learn that lesson this past couple of months.
Thanks for your kind words I was in tears with bad pain so I painted with good arm and tried to de-stress. I think I am weak and it is not being held up good enough so today I mixed cement after I was done with the floors damn it I need to be STRONG and Healthy 🙂 I have 2 days to rest before I am back with PT 🙂
Hang in with the shoulder. Yours is not a surgery one hops back from! ❤
Thanks needed to hear that today XO
Thanks I will just work hard to have NO PAIN xo
Fun creation… I like it… Take care, Lor
Thanks 🙂 You too!
I wish you well on your shoulder pain. That is nothing fun to live with. I agree, we need to take better care of this planet, it is all we have!
Last I checked I know you are right Love Ourselves and this Earth
Shoulder has 2 weeks more of PT then see the surgeon for check up. I mixed cement and raked more of the yard trying to make myself strong as my Mom health begins to worsen 😦 life is not for sissies
Have a wonderful week I pray you see no baseball bats on your trips to capture the beauty out there I will pray I never run into him lol thanks for the well wishes. Hugs
