That looks cold.
We get almost 12″ of snow by Sunday π¦ I miss summer already π
This is beautiful! Would make a wonderful painting ~
Our area got slammed with snow, a couple feet in some places. Roads were a white out to drive. Only today has the Falls been getting snow and I am happy we are.
π We will get a foot they say between now and Sunday and 9 degrees I have my ice pack ready for my destroyed shoulder
This is how I feel from now till spring:
“Every winter,
When the great sun has turned his face away,
The earth goes down into the vale of grief,
And fasts, and weeps, and shrouds herself in sables,
Leaving her wedding-garlands to decayβ
Then leaps in spring to his returning kisses…”
~Charles Kingsley
That is such a depressing view of winter. Not one I share. I love the white stuff and it is falling light and fluffy – lots of it too.
needing shoulder surgery and having to wait till spring to get it cared for is very depressing if I can’t take the pain maybe I will pack up after surgery and heal up in FL
I did not mean you and your situation, but that poem was depressing.
π yes but sadly it was clearly where my head was at. I love fresh snow and the beauty of it as does everyone really for a day or two π I hate filthy dirty snow and as you remember I am fearless I drove and 80′ footer for 27 years over every mountain America could place in my way π in my situation I am loosing the love for winter much more frequently how I wish that bus had not hit me π
