Well we took Mom for a ride and lunch to celebrate her upcoming 78th birthday which she will not be home for so we grabbed her while we could and went on in search for some pretty color far away.
We saw a farm with a pretty Maple Tree not quite at full color
As you can see a lot of green some orange and very little Red yet. Who knew this would be our fate today.
Just a little along a lake we found in western Massachusetts.

A spot for us to reflect upon life and birthdays and the desire for peace for ALL
No this is not upside down just the reflections of the pretty trees that lined the lake shore.
We had company too not sure you can pick him out as he hunted the edges and trying to get away from me.
So in the end we had a nice lunch at a very old diner in Gardner and saw a few pretty leaves and a Great Blue Heron as we wished her a very Happy Birthday!
Hope you have a wonderful long weekend to all of the followers here in the states at we celebrate Columbus Day. It is our biggest influx of tourist’s in search of color I just hope they will not be disappointed in what we have to offer for it is all about getting out and appreciating Columbus and the trip he took to this new land.

We are taking lots of drives in the countryside right now and living the rich palette. Leaves are falling quick though, a sure sign it won’t last long.
I is why I carry 3 cameras with me so I do not miss one detail 🙂 Enjoy your rides I know we do 🙂

Mom will turn 78 on the 22 ND but she is attending a huge bash that the hospital who has been treating her RA for 40 years is throwing for her doctor who is retiring 🙂 I may have a corsage delivered the morning for her to wear so she looks special on her day 🙂 She used to love Orchids many many years ago 🙂 I must try to see what she will be wearing 🙂 on the slide that is 🙂
