Scarborough, Maine – Pine Point

A little story, if you don’t mind.  Pine Point holds a special place in my heart.  In the early 1990’s my husband and I moved to Maine, and because it was a new city and State we wanted to take some time to learn the area before we bought a home.   So we rented out a tiny place right on the point of a beach that intersected with a Jetty and the Atlantic Ocean, that we called “the love shack” (winter and spring months – the rent at that time was dirt cheap, then in the Summer the vacation crowd would come in and the rental rates would raise many times over).   Having never been acquainted to a beach area in off-season this was a real learning experience, more beach walks than I can count and sea breezes that range from ice-cold to Spring-time warmth that were fantastic.  This was an amazing place to live
