moonlight’s silent song wrapped in waves
whispers unheard ‘cross darkened waters
we thrive – and dive in deep
pulled from our very core – words
surface like dolphins; taste salty freedom
their birth infinitesimal grains
to scatter upon perception’s cliff
snowballing they solidify
wide open mouths as we
inhale the moon –
and leave
our lament
to
the
sea
