  1. Aaah Eunice I’m sorry to tell you but the word is already out…you are a sweetie….so be it that you are also a “Trucker”….ssshhh ! 🙂 Congratulations on receiving this award you deserve it and thank you so much for nominating me. I always enjoy our little chats we seem to have so much in common – we own a trucking company lol. 🙂 Lorelle (musicqueen10)

      1. We have a lot of trouble getting drivers because the big mines have devoured the work force. They offer huge money that we can’t compete with. It has been a hard season for us especially as my husband injured himself and can’t drive at the moment as well. Things have quietened down for now as it hasn’t rained but it will step up again soon…we hope. 🙂

      2. Yes I bet mining grads a lot of the work force. we gold pan but all small time stuff or metal detect.

I am trying to get strong enough to do something other than jewelry I am too young to be retired 😦

I hope your business starts to boom soon

      3. Retirement? Well our wonderful government has upped the aged limit on that here so we will all die of old age 🙂
That’s why I study music and do singing but it won’t make me a living it’s just something I like to do. A creative outlet if you will. mmm.
Jewellery sounds pretty cool. Home made stuff sells really well over here. 🙂

      4. Yes USA is crazy making people work till their 70’s they want you till work till you did 😦

I would have driven till I could no longer pass DOT till the dude from Viet Nam nailed me with a BUS I was in my new conversion van

Life changes in a split second 😦

      5. I have permanent back and neck and hand damage but no longer take pain meds no I do gentle Yoga and WW and walk the dog when I feel good and rest when I don’t but I am only 56 I have another 20 years I want to work 🙂

      6. Yeah I’m hearing you. You have to find a “tree change” that will satisfy your creative needs. That can be a challenge in itself.
My husband is much like you. He has lost the sight in one eye, broken his back, broken and dislocated his shoulder and (just to top it off) cut his good hand with a knife so he is disabled in both of them at the moment. I told him I will not wipe his ass so he’d better stop doing these things. I have been doing his zips and buttons and cutting his meat. Showering you name it. It’s hard with no hands. All this has happened due to different accidents over time. He is 53 and I will be 52 this coming December. We will never see retirement but can’t keep doing what we do for much longer either. I won’t miss all the office book work when it happens though. 🙂

      7. I hear you the 4 of us are too young 😦 I used to run my own rig turn my own wrenches and do the paperwork somehow I thrived
I was married to a very abusive man so I chose to work 16 to 18 hrs 6 to 7 days locally so I did not have to come home

Ron told me today if he hit Powerball he would buy me a rig I could drive when I felt good see this ones LOVES ME

        Hope your husbands heals quickly

      8. Yeah. You gotta wonder what its all for some times don’t you. We do hours like that here. Its great you found someone that loves you that’s definitely the key to happiness. Even if everything else around you sucks.
Some of poor Hubs troubles will stay with him unfortunately. He just manages the pain. He’s lucky to be alive at all. His back was broken a few years ago when a truck engine fell and collected him. One of the chains holding it let go, it smashed him into some 44 drums. It could have landed on him. 😦 He was blinded in one eye by a piece of steel that flew from a grinder. You would have read my post on Black Swamp Soup…hence the shoulder. Man I think I need to wrap him in cotton wool and send him off to bed. Its too dangerous for him in the big world. We still have too small kids to raise as well. One is 8 the other just turned 11 so its a long haul yet. 🙂

      9. Yes you too have been through hell but have blessings too I do not know what I would really do with 2 small children I guess what I had to in the end to provide Life sucks at times so bad you can barely catch your breath we are fighters we keep on going though I will have to read more of your posts now that the awards stuff is behind me 🙂

      10. Aaah yeah the award stuff is still in front of me atm. ha ha and I have to fix up some links from the first one too because I didn’t do it right 🙂 aaah well we live and learn. ho ho

      11. Good attitude is everything when it comes to healing. Gotta stay positive. We try to believe things happen for a reason and that maybe something better is coming our way. It helps to think that anyway. 🙂
